Rod Lasher was named as the Co-Special Teams Player of the year in the Delta River league.  Sharing the honor with Rod is Ryan Williams of Sheldon.  Rod did all of the place kicking and punting for the Marauders.   He averaged 56 yards per kickoff, reaching the end zone 18 times.  Rod averaged 38 yards per punt and he made 95% of his PAT's (40 out of 42).  Converting 6 field goals on 6 attempts, one for 46 yards, helped Rod rack up 60 points on the season (he also threw for 6 TD's).

2006 Season Game Reports:

Week 11, Playoffs:  (Friday, November 17)  The Marauders fell to a strong Napa team in their opening playoff game by a score of 35-56. Jesuit ends the 2006 season with an 8-3 overall record.

Week 10,  Sheldon

(Saturday, November 11)  Jesuit fell to Sheldon High School by a final score of 28-35.  Jesuit ends the regular season with a record of 8-2.

Week 9,  Monterey Trail

(Friday, November 3)  Jesuit defeated Monterey Trail High School by a score of 41-22.  A scoring highlight was another touchdown return of an interception by Isaiah Frey (this one for  85 yards).  This gives the fourth ranked Marauders an overall record of 8-1.

Week 8,  Pleasant Grove

(Friday, October 27)  Jesuit defeated Pleasant Grove High School by a score of 41-0.  Anthony Wright scored two TD's, one rushing and one receiving.  The remainder of the scoring came form TD's scored by Richard Dye, Marquese Smith and Isaiah Frey (int).  Rod Lasher added 11 points with 5 for 5 PAT's and two field goals (long 42 yds).  Jesuit improved its Delta River league record to 3-0 and overall record to 7-1.

(Saturday, October 21)  Jesuit defeated the Florin Panthers by a score of 31-14.  Jesuit improved its Delta River league record to 2-0 and overall record to 6-1.

Week 6,  Folsom

(Saturday, October 14)  Rod Lasher hit a Field Goal with 11 seconds left to play against Folsom to give the Marauders a 17-14 league victory.   With the win, Jesuit improves its record to 5-1 on the season and 1-0 in the Delta River league.

Week 5,  Modesto

(October 6, 2006: Modesto) The Jesuit Marauders football team scored 31 points and held the host Modesto Panthers to 10 in the Marauders non-league win on Friday.  Dan Carmazzi notched his 200th career victory as Jesuit's Head Coach.

Week 4, Cordova

Jesuit sweeps Cordova winning at all levels.  The visiting Marauder Varsity beat the Cordova Lancers by a score of 31-14 on Friday night.  Both teams now have 3 and 1 records.  Jesuit held the area's leading rushing team to 150 yards on 28 carries.

Jesuit beats Christian Brothers in Holy Bowl 36.
(September 23, 2006: Hughes Stadium) In Saturday's non-league game, the Jesuit Marauders football team beat the host team Christian Brothers Falcons (Sacramento, CA), by a score of 21-6.

Jesuit rebounds in week 2 by defeating Bellarmine (September 16, 2006: Carmichael, CA) The Jesuit Marauders trounced the visiting Bellarmine Prep Bells football team by a score of 38-14 in Saturday's non-league game.

(September 8, 2006: Stockton, CA) The St. Mary's Rams football team scored 28 points and held the visiting Jesuit Marauders to 14 in the Rams non-league win on Friday.
