We plan to post links to download the volunteer lists for the various events/activities that we support. We'd like to suggest some "rules of the road" for using the volunteer lists...
Volunteer List Etiquette
We propose a couple of simple rules to guide using our volunteer lists: Don't take lists from other events/categories if you run short of volunteers.
This sounds obvious, but in the heat of battle when that deadline looms ever-so-near and your list of confirmed helpers is ever-so-short...
Well, let's just say that we're all human. But try ever-so-hard to remember that your list is posted here, too. If you want to protect your potential volunteers from being "raided", then resist that temptation to raid the other lists.
If your short on time and volunteers, then contact the Staffing Chairpersons. They are listed in the membership roll on the Board Members page.
Don't always call the same volunteers.
We all know that there is that core group of folks who always seem to be ready, willing, and able. It's nice to know that there are those to always count on. A quick couple of calls, and...violá, you've got your event staffed.
But let's give these great folks a breather once in a while. And let's try to go the extra step or two to get some new folks involved. You never know when you're going to find some new "old dependables".
