2008 PAL Golf Champions

Our Lady of Assumption

OLA won the 2008 PAL Golf Championship at the Arcade Creek course on Friday, May 2. The team totaled 177 (three under par!) on the par 36 Gold Tee Course. OLA finished ahead of St. Mel's (2 time defending champs) at 197 and third place went to St. Charles who totaled a 198. 19 teams with 154 golfers particiapted in this years event. Based on reliable sources, this is the second largest Junior Golf event in the Sacramento Area after the Sacramento County Junior event.  Congratulations to the OLA Cougars. Full team results are listed under the Championship results tab to the right.

The PAL does not have an organized Golf "league" schedule. Teams are encouraged to schedule friendly matches with each other. The Coahces list will provide each school with contacts to be used to schedule matches whenever possible. The PAL Championship is the culmination of the PAL Golf "season."

Adjusted League Guidelines:

Due to the fact that Golf is a non-contact sport, the PAL has waived the rule regarding 5th grade participation. Typically, Varsity sports in the PAL exclude 5th graders from particiapation. For PAL Golf (and only Golf) fifth (5th) graders are allowed to participate in all matches, including the league championship.
